GMA News anchors wore ABS-CBN’s flagship colors on their usual evening airing for 24 Oras. Newcasters, Vicky Morales, Pia Arcangel and Atom Araullo were noticed by the netizens wearing red, green and blue.
This stirred speculations among the audience if this could be a sign of sympathizing with the competing network; ABS-CBN which is compelled to a possible shut-down after controversy on franchise renewal.

Netizens made it a trending topic on social media as to whether it is a support or the other way around. It is also noted that male anchor, Atom Araullo, was once under ABS-CBN for a period of time, before transferring to GMA. Some were amazed at how the media industry might be silently supporting the crisis of fellow media men, through disregarding competition at the moment.
Nevertheless, GMA did not fully declare that it has something to do with their move to support ABS-CBN or it was simply a coincidental wardrobe choice of the said TV personalities. At the moment, the giant network is still on flee to have its network continue to its usual operations.
