In an interview with Kapuso television host Jessica Soho, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has discouraged netizens from comparing the ordinances of the different local government units.
This issue had been risen up due the popularity surrounding Mayor Sotto’s transparency on Twitter, all about his measures against the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

Mayor Sotto also stated that the Pasig City government has adapted some ordinances from Valenzuela City, which prohibited panic-buying and hoarding. He then further stated, “Let’s copy each other’s best practices.”

The young mayor then took to Twitter to share his interview with Soho, and instigated that while he appreciates the positive feedback and raises from netizens and fellow Pasigueños, he is young and has “no interest in your national politics.”
