University of the Philippines Professor Clarita Carlos reacted to a statement made by singer Frankie Pangilinan that she can’t accept presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos Jr. to be her president.
Frankie is the daughter of vice-presidential candidate Senator Kiko Pangilinan and Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

In an interview, Frankie gave the following statement:
“I’m not going to have my president be named Marcos again! Ever! We all know what’s right and wrong. If we are not here to stand up, if we are not here to fight, eh ano pa ang ginagawa natin dito sa Pinas?”
Prof. Carlos reacted and asked Frankie the following:
“My dear child…I hear you… but I need to understand where you are coming from…can you write a 5,000 word essay defending your declaration? Thank you.”
