TV host Drew Arellano expressed his honest thoughts and opinions when he was asked regarding spanking as a form to discipline a child.
In TV host Bianca Gonzalez’s latest YouTube vlog, she featured Drew for a virtual interview. During the interview, Bianca and Drew talked about ‘fatherhood’ as the latter answered several questions from the netizens. One netizen asked Drew on his opinions when it comes to spanking as a form to discipline a child.
“What is your discipline policy in the Arellano household?” Bianca asked Drew.
“I never spanked my kids, never did. I scared them. Sabe ko, it’s pretty much ano eh sound-wise… biglang I slam the table…” Drew said.
“Oh they know the concept of spanking but they never…” Bianca quipped.
“Yeah… my dad never spanked me. My mom did, I mean couple of times but… it’s just not in my personality. Tako ano ako, factor…” Drew said.
“Does that mean are you the disciplinarian? Or is Iya as well?” Bianca asked.
“Depende. I remember that old rule na, before ah kasi I’m not your traditional dad. Diba parang before, dads, their time’s spent working outside the house. So they can’t be the ones to actually discipline the kids. Because, konti na nga lang yung oras mo tapos ikaw pa yung mag aano, it should be the mother, parang ganyan. I can’t eh… ” Drew said.
