Former senator Jinggoy Estrada was arrested in San Juan on Sunday (May 3, 2020) for allegedly violating the guidelines on the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora confirmed this in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Zamora said Estrada had been going around barangays even though the former senator was not authorized to do so.

“Sapagkat itong si dating Senador Jinggoy Estrada ay ilang araw na pong nag-iikot dito sa lungsod ng San Juan na walang authority,” he told TV Patrol in an interview with Alvin Alchico.
“Kung gusto niyang tumulong sa ating mga mamamayan, ayon sa DILG, kailangang kumuha ng certification sa local government,” he said.
