Sa kanyang one-on-one interview kasama si Boy Abunda, ay ibinunyag ni James Reid ang kanyang saloobin sa pagkakaroon ng sarili niyang anak. Naitanong ni Tito Boy kung pinaplano na ba nina James at kasintahan nitong si Nadine Lustre ang pag-aasawa at ang sagot ni James ay:
“Where I am right now, I don’t even know if I can have kids,” panimula ni James. “I would love to, but I just feel like the state of the world right now — I don’t know if I wanna bring another life into the world the way it is now.’ dagdag pa ng binata.
