Man travels 6 kilometers to bring wife for dialysis using a borrowed wheelchair

Reported on the live-streamed news broadcasted by DZMM Teleradyo today, Loida Fernandez, a dialysis patient who couldn’t even barely walk uses a borrowed wheelchair being pushed by her husband for about 6 kilometers thrice a week, just to get through Batasan to Dialysis Center in Fairview due to the restriction of PUV’s (Public Utility Vehicle) since the lockdown was implemented.

It was reported that the couple endures their situation since they don’t have a private vehicle and no support from their local government prioritized such necessities like what they have.

However, the program relays the situation to barangay officials who could possibly help in providing support and assistance. The officials gave their statement promising a call for those who needed help to just reach out for them and don’t hesitate to do so especially it is an urgent need.
