Despite popularity, Morissette Amon finishes Junior High

Morissette Amon can be considered as one of the most successful singers of her generation but despite her new found popularity, Morissette still recognized the importance of education. Morissette recently graduated from her Junior High School at Don Alejandro Roces Sr. Science-Technology High School.

On her Instagram account, Morisette posted the following:

“I remember back in 2010 in Cebu, that time we decided to relocate to Manila to chase my dreams, nalungkot po talaga ako na kinailangan kong iwan muna ang aking pag-aaral, 2ndYrHS pa po ako noon.. but now there‘s today, where I was one of about 500 students from around QC D1&2 who have graduated/part of the ‘moving up’ ceremony. kahit may “trabaho” na po ako ngayon, I still felt like there was something missing.. iba pa rin pala talaga ang fulfillment ng nakakapagtapos. grateful po ako na may #AlternativeLearningSystem program dahil binigyan po ako ng pagkakataon nito to continue my studies..

I am proud to share na nakapasa po ako sa Exam at have now finished Junior Highschool! mahirap man i-juggle lahat but balance is key. pero mas lalo po akong na-inspire sa mga batchmates ko who each had their own stories to tell, and have also reached this achievement in their lives.. tulad po ng sinabi ko kanina sa speech (akalain niyo uuuun.. mas kinabahan po ako kanina kesa sa mga contests na nasalihan ko HAHA), “the possibilities are endless!” Congrats po muli sa ating lahat!!

nais ko lang din pong mag- thank you sa aming mga teachers, in my case lalo kay Ma’am Ellen Talactac; to my family, forever my inspiration (ze bro Jeremy was at his school as well burning brain cells hahaha); at kay Achi @khim_castillo din na madalas naging translator ko sa mga assignment (Tagalog is not my first language okaaay) at syempre sa help & support. God is good! #education #neverstoplearning ☝???”
