Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee broke his silence after rumors about him, running for an elective position in his hometown Naga City has started making rounds online.
In a report by ABS-CBN, Enchong during the press conference of his movie “Elise”, debunked the rumors, saying it was just an ‘inside joke’ within the Star Magic family.

He said: “I was in Sweden nung nagtatanong kung sino sa mga artista ng ABS ang tatakbo for this coming election.”
“It was all just a joke within our Star Magic family, not knowing na after ko pala mag-joke, sinabi na ng Star Magic sa news natin na tatakbo ako,” he added.
He further insisted that he will not be seeking a political position, saying that he prefers a quiet life and that he could extent help to more people using his own money.
“No, no, no, [I am not running]. Every now and then, I would encounter people from ABS na sinasabi sa akin, sayang na hindi natuloy. I am sorry, it was a joke.
“No, gusto ko tahimik ang buhay ko. Pakiramdam ko mas marami akong matutulungan kung wala ako sa pulitika talaga, and at least sarili kong pera ang ginagamit ko,” said Enchong.
