While some celebrities use whitening products or undergo skin whitening sessions to achieve a fairer complexion, others including actress Jessy Mendiola have naturally lighter skin because of her Lebanese genes.
In one of her Instagram posts where she showed off more skin and flaunted her figure in her swimsuit, a netizen noticed Jessy’s fair complexion and suggested her to ‘get some color’ like other Pinays.

The netizen wrote: “Your skin is so puti, white as ghost ? Get some color on you, Pinay. Don’t be afraid of the sun ?”
Jessy then explained why she has lighter skin compared to others and wrote: “i’m half lebanese, sometimes it’s hard to get a tan. I would rather look pale than get skin cancer.”
Jessy’s father is a Lebanese while her mother is a Filipina.
