Boracay island, one of the country’s most famous tourist destinations is set to welcome guests after months of rehabilitation on its soft opening this coming October 26.
More than a week before its official opening, the government conducted a dry run and opened the island for the residents of Aklan and other parts of Western Visayas on Monday, October 15 which will run for 10 days.

Boracay has been under rehabilitation for six months after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the closure of the island which he previously referred to as “cesspool”.
