Actress Dimples Romana could not help but get emotional as she talked about her part in the engagement of her best friend Angel Locsin.
During her interview in the Kapamilya morning show ‘Magandang Buhay,’ Dimples revealed how Neil told her about his planned engagement via phone call and shared how she burst into tears out of joy.

Dimples said: “Neil called me few weeks before the proposal. Sabi niya ‘Dimps, busy ka? May sasabihin ako sa iyo.’ So iniisip ko ‘ano kaya ito?’ Kasi nagugulat ako. Remember sa tagal naming magkaibigan ni Gel, may dalawa akong inabutan. So sabi ko Neil, ‘Ano ba yon, titigil ba ako maglakad, uupo ba ako?’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi, magpo-propose na ako kay Gel.’ Diyos ko ate ang iyak ko, pumalahaw ako ng iyak. Parang ako ‘yung pagpo-proposan. Sabi ko, ‘Neil, thank you so much for making me so happy.’ Eto na naman naalala ko na naman.”
“Naiiyak ako. Kasi, you know, Angel is such a good person. She deserves somebody who’s going to take care of her. I want her to have the best time of her life and now is the best time. Parang ramdam na ramdam ko. Sobrang alaga kasi ni Neil kay Gel. Nakakatuwa lang na naging parte ako noon,” she added.
Dimples also shared how she was the one who got Angel’s ring size and shared: “Friends kami ng mga assistant ni Gel so tinawagan ko. Sabi ko, ‘Ate punta ka nga dito, dalhan mo nga ako ng singsing ni Gel kasi gagawan ko siya ng terno ring namin.’ Sabi ko ‘yung sa akin ‘yung may ‘bestfriends’ sa kanya yung ‘forever’, ‘bestfriends forever.”
The ‘Kadenang Ginto’ star then revealed that the proposal happened on Father’s Day.
