On his Instagram account, Edu responded to a netizen who asked about his reported disqualification.
The netizen wrote: “totoo po bang na cancel yung pagka camdidacy mo idol @realedumanzano?”
Edu later replied: “Hindi totoo. 2nd division lang iyan. May en banc pa. Ginawa na sa akin yan in 1998. Nanalo ako sa SC and went on to become vice-mayor of Makati.”
In another comment, Edu insisted: “Pinayagan ako ng Korte Suprema tumakbo. Nasa Mercado vs Manzano 1998”
