Kris Aquino shares never before seen photos from ‘Crazy Rich Asians’

In another post, Kris thanked the people who have expressed their support to her and remembered what her parents Cory Aquino and Ninoy Aquino who had the same dream as hers.

She wrote: “if i may share, my mom was protective & unsure that my career path would give me a happy & stable home life; she was correct about her fears- it’s very hard for love to survive when your partner’s chosen profession gives everybody the right to judge & scrutinize what should be your private life… But my dad- he encouraged my dreams, and every time we’d watch a movie together in Boston, or he’d indulge me & watch Dear Heart of Sharon & Gabby w/ me- he’d always say “Beautiful, 1 day ikaw na yung papanuurin natin.” I was 12 years old when he was assassinated so he never saw his baby fulfill her dreams… and as much as i got to feel how supportive & proud my Mom was, it was NINOY AQUINO, my Dad, who believed that this was part of my destiny…To the first & only man who loved me for simply being me, and the first & only man who never doubted me- please know i remain STRONG because i had the privilege of seeing & feeling that you believed in me because you saw so much of you was in me. ?”

i was reminded about the NON DISCLOSURE clause in the contract for the TVCs i’ll shoot tomorrow & on Sunday w/ kuya josh & bimb… just to be sure, won’t post anything work related in the next few days… i’ve been reading the heartwarming comments of so many Fil-Ams ?? plus Filipinos in Dubai & the rest of the Middle East who made the effort to watch @crazyrichasians on opening day & all i can say is THANK YOU… every good thing that has ever happened in my life’s journey has been because a lot of Filipinos chose to embrace my family & me ??… The impact of being part of a film that highlights & celebrates our Asian heritage for the whole world to see is a GIFT… These pictures had to stay hidden in my iCloud for 14 months, and i felt humbled while editing this video… the opportunity to work w/ not just a TALENTED but a warm & generous TEAM was a BLESSING i shall always be grateful for… if i may share, my mom was protective & unsure that my career path would give me a happy & stable home life; she was correct about her fears- it’s very hard for love to survive when your partner’s chosen profession gives everybody the right to judge & scrutinize what should be your private life… But my dad- he encouraged my dreams, and every time we’d watch a movie together in Boston, or he’d indulge me & watch Dear Heart of Sharon & Gabby w/ me- he’d always say “Beautiful, 1 day ikaw na yung papanuurin natin.” I was 12 years old when he was assassinated so he never saw his baby fulfill her dreams… and as much as i got to feel how supportive & proud my Mom was, it was NINOY AQUINO, my Dad, who believed that this was part of my destiny…To the first & only man who loved me for simply being me, and the first & only man who never doubted me- please know i remain STRONG because i had the privilege of seeing & feeling that you believed in me because you saw so much of you was in me. ?
