Kyla Alvarez on deleting social media apps: “I felt like it was adding to my anxiety”

Singer Melanie Alvarez known for her stage name Kyla, shared to her fans and followers on why she decided to delete her social media accounts.

In her Instagram account, Kyla posted a photo of her. According to Kyla, she had to retrieve her social media accounts after deleting it few days ago. Kyla shared that she deleted her Instagram and Facebook account because she felt that it was adding to her anxiety. Kyla also shared that she can’t help but to compare herself to others after seeing someone’s social media post.

“I deleted my IG and Fb 3 days ago. I felt like it was adding to my anxiety. It’s nice to post pictures of your achievements and stuff like that- and get recognized for it. But i just feel like everytime i would open it, someone is passively bragging about an accomplishment, travelling at this time when we can’t travel, getting new projects, etc. It’s led me to always compare myself to others. And it’s not good for me. But anyways, it’s back after 3 days. Guess i couldn’t last more than a week doing this social media diet. 😫 I had to download it again, just to connect with my family. ♥️
