With her, earning the crown with her answer, some netizens claim that Catriona seemed to have ‘romanticized’ poverty in the country.
One netizen expressed her stand on Catriona’s answer in a Tweet which has already been deleted, saying: “rampa ka muna dyan cat pero pag uwi mo dapat more lubog sa masa at di dapat natin niro romanticize ang poverty, smiles in children’s faces despite of their situation? HOW ABOUT CHILDREN SMILING DAHIL MAAYOS ANG KANILANG PAMUMUHAY nakakapag aral, nakaka kain, may maayos na tirahan”
Another Twitter page also agree that Catriona’s answer is not enough to address the issue in the country.
