The Royal House of Sulu says Baron Geisler was awarded ‘fake’ royal title

Actor Baron Geisler recently made it to the headlines after he was supposedly recognized as “His Excellency Datu Baron Frederick von Geisler, Royal Datu and Ambassador for Peace and Prosperity” by Mohammad Mamay Hasan Abdurajak and Helen Fatima Abdurajak of Royal Imperial Lupah Sug Islamic United Kingdom of Sulu & North Borneo.

However, The Royal House of Sulu released an official statement on Facebook, saying that Baron was issued a ‘fake’ royal title and that the people who awarded him are “both commoners with no royal blood” and were not recognized by Philippine government.

The ‘Royal Imperial Lupah Sug Islamic United Kingdom of Sulu and North Borneo’ lead by Mohammad Mamay Hasan Abdurajak and Helen Fatima Abdurajak, who are both commoners with no royal blood is not even recognized by the Philippine government as one of the claimants to the sultanate of Sulu.”

It then advised the public not to be mislead, saying: “Please be informed that the recent issuance of a title to Philippine actor, Mr. Baron Geisler, was done by false pretenders who are not even recognized by the Philippine government.

The Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo urges the public not to be mislead.

Mr. Geisler is NOT a Datu of Sulu.”
