A young daughter withstood the heat brought about by wearing an improvised personal protective equipment (PPE) just to be able to go near her frontliner father who is celebrating his birthday.
Based on the photos posted online, her dad is a soldier. The young daughter went near her father, gave him a birthday cake and a letter.
In a Facebook post, Joly Marie Garces Masa shared the following:
“I thought I can only see this scene on social media until today having this in front of me is so heartbreaking. I can’t contain my emotion as a parent seeing this. Ali endure the heat wearing this plastic, only to hug her daddy, greet him a happy birthday and give the letter she made last night just for him.
Please stay at home, so that these frontliners can go home to their kids waiting every single day for them to arrive. Please stay at home so that you can save the frontliners’ lives at stake. Please stay at home for the kids to hug their parents once again. Please stay at home because these frontliners missed their families so much.
You people don’t know how much their sacrifice is for us. Please help them by staying at home.
P.S. Please know that this is only few steps (not more than 10 steps) from our gate. Their convo only took less than 3minutes.”
